The Student Government Association’s Class of 2013 is hosting a fire-safety event on Saturday, March 24 in the Westview parking lot on the York Hill Campus.

Members of security, facilities and the Hamden Fire Department will give students one-on-one fire extinguisher training from 1 to 2:15 p.m. and demonstrate how quickly a simple residence hall fire could turn potentially fatal at 2:30 p.m.

The event is open to all students.
