Quinnipiac is hosting its first farmers market of the academic year on the Bobcat Way on our Mount Carmel Campus until 1 p.m. today.

Merchants are offering flowers, seasonal produce, salad, sandwiches, baked goods, honey, maple syrup, apple cider, apple pies, coffee beans, homemade soups and personal care items.

There are also raffles and free samples.

The university will host additional farmers markets each Thursday this month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Students for Environmental Action are distributing water bottles and organizing a light bulb swap.
