Angela Mattie, associate professor of management and chair of health care management and organizational leadership in our School of Business, was quoted in a article about a woman being charged extra by her doctor for allegedly asking too many questions during her visit.

“I think this woman did exactly what she should have done,” Mattie told the national news organization.

Mattie said that people need to be “active consumers” in their health care, actively involved in their medications, medical histories, and discussions with doctors on what procedures they get.
