Andrea Hogan, director of global education at Quinnipiac University, received the James Leck Distinguished Service Award on Nov. 15 in Portland, Maine at the NAFSA: Association of International Educators’ conference.
Hogan received this award for her outstanding service in the field of international education. A member of NAFSA since 2007, Hogan has trained international educational professionals by organizing workshops and training programs through NAFSA. Her colleagues nominated her for the award.
Hogan joined Quinnipiac in 2011. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree of teaching English to speakers of other languages and international education from Southern Connecticut State University.
NAFSA supports international education in order to advance learning and scholarship, build understanding and respect among different peoples and enhance constructive leadership in the global community.
