Professor Hillary Haldane quoted in U.S. News & World Report about recommendation to screen women for signs of domestic violence

Hillary HaldaneHillary Haldane, assistant professor of anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Quinnipiac University, was quoted in a U.S. News & World Report article about a recommendation from the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force to screen all women of childbearing age for signs of domestic violence.

“To have the health field involved in working with women and trying to identify women who have family violence experiences is a great idea. If you can identify abuse early on, you can minimize its impact,” Haldane said. “People look up to doctors, and to have a well-trained doctor saying they support you is really important.”
