The Carnival cruise ship carrying 4,200 passengers and left for days adrift at sea with no power or sanitation docked in Alabama on Friday, Feb. 15.

“This is more or less a repeat of what happened to Carnival Splendor in the Pacific in 2010,” said Véronneau. “The problem then and the problem now is that ships are designed for survival and not passenger comfort in emergencies.
