School of Communications Dean Lee Kamlet quoted in USA Today about ‘royal-baby mania’

kamletLee Kamlet, dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University was quoted in USA Today about the media frenzy surrounding the anticipated birth of Prince William’s and Duchess Kate’s first baby.

“The fact of the matter is, this is news,” Kamlet told the daily newspaper. “It’s like cotton candy, it’s fun, it goes down easy. It’s a reality TV show that we all get to watch.”

The story comes at the perfect time, too, Kamlet added.

“People on vacation will stop and read it because it’s a fun, summertime story, it doesn’t take a lot of brain power or energy,” he said.
