Professor of Psychology Joan Bombace has passed away

Eye blink conditioningProfessor of Psychology Joan Bombace passed away on Sept. 3.  

Joan joined the Quinnipiac psychology department faculty in 1982, where she dedicated her professional life to Quinnipiac students, undergraduate research and to the College of Arts and Sciences’ psychology department.  Joan was a Quinnipiac alumna who went on to earn her master’s degree at Southern Connecticut State University and her doctorate at the University of Massachusetts. This is a great loss to our community and Joan will be deeply missed. 

Funeral services for Joan will be held this Saturday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 129 Edwards St., New Haven. All are welcome. Please read Joan’s obituary.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to a scholarship established for Quinnipiac psychology students. To contribute, please contact Julie Parr, associate vice president for development, at julie.parr@quinnipiac.edu.
